Kiteboarding offers PASA certified instructors to teach the proper methods of kiteboarding safety and techniques. We offer different levels of instructions to fit almost everyones needs.
Serving North Myrtle Beach South Carolina and Brunswick County, North Carolina Beaches.
For vacationers we can come to you. No need to drive. For most lessons we will gladly come to your location for a small extra fee.
LEVEL ONE
Getting Started ($125.00 1.5 hrs.)
This is a quick course that is about an hour and a half long. We cover the basics of kiteboarding, safety issues and wind conditions. This course is designed for beginners that have never flown or have very little experience flying trainer or power kites. We cover approximately 15 mins. of class room style training then get right to flying kites. Starting with smaller trainer kites then moving up to larger power kites. Three student max.
LEVEL TWO
Intermediate Flying ($225.00 2.0hrs)
The next level toward becoming a kiteboarder. This course is for those serious about learning the challenging sport of kiteboarding and is designed for beginners and experienced kite flyers that are ready to take the next step in learning more advanced kite flying skills, safety issues and self rescue techniques. In this course we review all aspects of level one then take it a few steps further. We will review all of the essentials of a kiteboarding inflatable strut kite. Learn the techniques for safely launching and landing kiteboarding kites and teach the students how to safely get to and out of the water during solo flight. Two student max.
Level Three
Advanced Techniques ($425.00 4hrs.)
For the serious flyers that have reviewed all aspects of kiteboarding, know the risks and are ready to devote the necessary time and expense toward becoming a responsible kiteboarder. This is a fast track class that reviews all necessary safety and rigging techniques involved with kiteboarding. We review all of the aspects covered in level one and two and continue on to water excercise that include body dragging and board starts. We teach the students how to manage the power of the kite and cover more safety, launching and landing and self rescue techniques. Two student max.
PRIVATE LESSONS ($125.00 per. hr.)
Private lessons are offered to students that have sucessfully completed the mininum of level two training. Private lessons are perfect for students that are gradually taking time in their training or struggling with the basics and need a little more coach time before they feel confortable out on their own. One hour min. each additional hour costs $100.00 three hour max. One student only.
Kiteboarding is a dangerous sport and should be taken seriously and treated with respect. No one will be allowed to participate in any training if suspected to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. We reserve the right to refuse training to anyone for any reason.
No student under the age of 18 will be allowed to train without adult or guardian supervision. No one under the age of 14 is allowed training above level two.
Every student has different learning curves and Vertical Pilot makes no guarantees about the success of it's students. We provide the necessary information and tools to become a successful kiteboarder but it up to the individuals abilities that determine the outcome of their training.
We reserve the right to not allow students in the on water activities until the instructors feel that the student is
ready. Safety comes first over high expectations.
